About Dagger Wood Campsite

This 34-acre wildwood campsite on a family farm near Clutton offers a properly back-to-basics escape, yet you're only half an hour from both Bristol and Bath. Choose your own pitch among the trees, light a firepit or barbecue, and settle in for a night under the stars. Facilities are deliberately minimal – composting loos, cold open-air showers, fresh running water – so it's not for glampers, but the friendly father-and-son team go out of their way to help, especially if mobility's a concern on the hilly, uneven terrain.

Beyond pitching up, you can join wild food foraging workshops, fitness bootcamps or even hop on a tractor. A woodland path leads to a nearby pub in ten minutes if you'd rather someone else did the cooking. Dogs are welcome year-round, and there's a bus stop a short walk away for car-free arrivals. Just note: parking's in a separate area, not beside your tent.

Found this little gem. Saw pheasants, squirrels, an owl. My own private spot surrounds by trees and was fabulous. Compost loos and area for water. Blooming lovely.

If you're looking for a wild camp site with water and toilets, then look no further. This place is perfect. It's quiet and peaceful, and Henry, who runs Dagger wood camping, is friendly and approachable. Has a mixture of size pitches, some hidden away, some more open all with fire pits. Compostable toilets were always maintained. They offer many different activities and also have a book shop. Nice walks to the pub. We will definitely be coming back here for many more stays. 🏕 ⛺️ 🥾 👌 👍

A peaceful camp site immersed in the wilderness where you can truly switch off from technology and enjoy nature! We have never been wild camping before, but I highly recommend. We spotted lots of animals and even had a pheasant pop up to say hello right next to our campfire! I loved the early morning cold showers, I don’t think there’s a better way to shake off the ciders from the night before! I rarely leave google reviews, but had to do one for Dagger Wood after having such a great weekend!

A perfect campsite if you want the nearly wild experience. Secluded woodland pitches, totally out of sight and probably earshot of your neighbours. Enough facilities. Fantastic pricing. An amazing place
