The park's adults-only policy ensures a consistently quiet atmosphere that appeals to couples and older tourers seeking a proper rest. Around 45 pitches—a mix of fully serviced and standard hardstanding—are generously spaced across well-kept lawns and planted borders, so you're never squeezed in alongside your neighbours.
Facilities punch above the typical small-site standard: a heated shower block finished to a high specification, laundry with service washes, wi-fi, a lending library and a tourist information point. Dogs are welcome, with a dedicated walking area around young woodland at the park's edge. There's no on-site shop, though reception stocks camping essentials and Calor gas, and the village pub and local shop lie just 250 yards away. Year-round opening makes this a rare winter option when much of Somerset closes its doors. Prices start around £33 a night for two, and the small pitch count means booking ahead for summer and bank holidays is essential.

Lovely campsite, immaculately kept grounds, helpfull staff and close to walking to a wonderful llake. The fenced off walking area was perfect for our young dog. WC & bathroom are in one space. Personally I prefer seperate male and female facilities but understand that this set up might be more efficient. And I have to say that everytime I used the facilities it was very clean. All in all I would love to come back for a relaxed weekend in the future and can recommend.

We recently stayed at Chew Valley Campsite, and what a delightful surprise it was! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel like home right from the start. The facilities were spotless, and the grounds were clearly well cared for, which really added to the overall enjoyment of the stay.\\n\\nWe came across this campsite by chance, and I’m so glad we did. It’s a peaceful, picturesque spot that’s perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. We will definitely be returning and exploring more of the local attractions next time. Highly recommend this site for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

Absolutely lovely stay - beautifully maintained site. Staff all super friendly and nothing too much trouble. The showers and toilets all beautifully clean. Lovely little dog walking area, within the site, and loads of poo bins dotted around. The lake that is nearby, is a lovely place to walk, with or without your dog, such an oasis of calm, oh, and the number birds we heard, just lovely!! :-)\\nPlease ignore the negative comment, I cant imagine where they went, as it does not in any way resemble this site. The writer would probably find fault wherever they went.

Lovely camp site. We were 2 adults and a dog and it was perfect. Good sized pitches for a Campervan and Awning. Nice and Quiet and good facilities. Arrived a bit early and it was no bother at all and we were ahown straight away to our pitch. Well positioned for a walk to the lake. Note that the 2 eateries on the lake didn't accept dogs inside. We visited the Red Lion which is 200 metres away. The Roast was excellent and the staff welcoming and friendly. Back to the campsite, it was clean and the sole cubicles were also clean and no issues at all.
