About 9 Princes Buildings
9 Princes Buildings is a Georgian townhouse bed and breakfast set in the heart of Clifton Village, one of Bristol's most attractive residential quarters. Several of its rooms look directly over the Avon Gorge towards Clifton Suspension Bridge, while others take in the rooftops of the village below.
The property keeps a genuine period character, with high ceilings and period detailing throughout, and breakfast is served in a dining room that makes the most of the building's Georgian proportions.
Its position within Clifton Village puts independent boutiques, cafes and the suspension bridge itself within a few minutes' walk, making it well suited to couples wanting a quieter, more residential base than the city centre.

What guests say
We had such a lovely stay with Simon and Joanna! Our whole family was in town for a wedding and most stayed at the Avon Gorge next door, but we chose the bed and breakfast, and safe to say, we got the better deal! Each morning started with a homemade breakfast, followed by tea on the balcony with its stunning view. The rooms were filled with natural light and beautifully decorated. Simon and Joanna were wonderful company and Joanna even took the time to help my dad find a hat for the wedding. If we ever return to Bristol, I know exactly where we’ll be staying. Great value, amazing hosts ♥️

It was an absolute delight to stay at this beautiful 'bed and breakfast house' whilst feeling like guests in a 'friends home'. Wonderful welcome, fantastic views across the Avon Gorge and an old school style and elegance that is timeless and comforting. Simon and Joanna could not have been more delightful hosts and the lemon drizzle cake in our room upon arrival was a cosy treat that was much appreciated. The breakfast was 'perfection'! A selection of fresh and stewed fruits in a light homemade syrup perfectly accompanied the yoghurt and cereals on offer. A simple yet spot on menu choice for breakfast (I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs-delicious) and my daughter enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast option (you could have had smashed avo on toast with chilli jam, full English breakfast or american pancakes with maple syrup). The views from the breakfast room across the garden and the wonderful enormous acer were breathtaking and so deserving of another visit. We will definitely be returning a few times more (my daughter is at Uni in Bristol and this is the 'perfect parent place'). Thank you Simon and Joanna for making our stay so wonderful-Lorna and Evie x

Super stay at No 9. Thank you so much. Lovely room with great view of the suspension bridge. Really enjoyed the homemade sponge and the sherry. The fresh flowers in the bedroom were a lovely touch. Delicious breakfast and such helpful information from our host to direct us into town and to find nearby restaurants. Must be the best b&b in Bristol!
