What guests say
First time in Bristol, the hotel is in a good location, close to the centre and within walking distance to local shops, the high street and the river. The hotel itself looks very welcoming, the interior is modern, each area was clearly zoned off. Lighting was bright and the decor was inviting. I stayed with a friend and we had the twin room for the night, it was spacious, neatly arrange, clean, tidy and the bed was really comfortable. The layout was immaculate, the bathroom hygenic and washing facilities were nice to use. I can't fault it. The buffet breakfast was really decent, the quality was of a good standard, freshly prepared and the serving and dinning area was clean and relaxed. The staff were on standby to assist otherwise it was self serving and the way they presented the food was easy to manover. Alex the concierge was a joy to deal with, he was very professional, composed and polite when handling with our demands (we were very demanding to add!). He was such a good sport, not only did he provide good customer service but he was also able to read us and bounce back and forth with consideration in our interactions. His understanding of social cues and people skills is exceptional and makes him an asset to the reception team. I am sure all members of staff are noteworthy however we can only single him out because we soley dealt with him. I highly recommend this hotel if you want somewhere high end, classy and comfortable to stay.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Good coffee and tea making facilities. Bathroom is top notch, with a walk in rainfall shower and hand held attachment too. Good supply of towels. Air conditioning worked well. Excellent location for the city centre. No vehicular access, need to be dropped off 50 metres from the entrance. Breakfasts were underwhelming as was the restaurant. I’d recommend having breakfast at the nearby cafe.

Took my elderly mother here for a short break and we really enjoyed the hotel. Modern and comfortable air conditioned rooms with a decent shower. I also thought that the location was very good for both the town centre and the riverside areas as well as the nearby St Nicholas market. The breakfast buffet was really good and offered an extensive choice, and the staff worked so hard to keep topping the food up. I thought all the staff encountered were very friendly and helpful with good interaction with the guests. Because of my mothers mobility issues we had 2 evening meals in the hotel. Although the food quality was very good, we felt that the location of the dining area for the evening service, which was downstairs from the bar, felt disjointed with the meals being transported quite a long way from the kitchen. The hotel did have a nice dining room where we had breakfast, they just did not use it in the evening.

Mixed - would not stay again. 11:00 am checkout time is too aggressive but they happily offer late checkout for an extra £10/hr (!) and then don't rekey your key to match. No parking and no discounted parking so expect to pay £28/day in the nearby NCP parking. Rooms are sizeable and comfortable but beds are small and pillows not very good. Bathroom sink did not drain well. Good bits: location is great, breakfast is nice, staff are friendly especially the night receptionist who was amazing. Lobby is well-appointed.
