About Mercure Brigstow Bristol
Bristol's harbourside is home to Mercure Brigstow Bristol, set on Welsh Back with the water directly in view. It's a spot well placed for exploring the harbour area and nearby attractions such as SS Great Britain, making it a practical base for both leisure visits and business trips into the city.
The hotel has 116 rooms across seven floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and lift access throughout. Accessible rooms are available, and facilities extend to a restaurant serving regional dishes, a bar, a lounge and a snack bar, alongside room service and a 24-hour reception. Business services and a wedding venue add to its versatility for events as well as overnight stays.
Parking is chargeable and located nearby rather than on site, worth factoring in if arriving by car. Beyond the hotel doors, Welsh Back and the surrounding harbourside offer a good spread of pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it easy to spend an evening without travelling far.
What guests say
Very friendly and accommodating staff who were always there to help. The room for the price was absolutely fantastic! It was well furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bath had a TV in it which was a surreal yet fun addition! The hotel is in a great location for the local night life and places to eat and it wasn't loud either and I got a great nights sleep. I would hugely recommend here over any of the other similar priced hotels.

Stayed for one night and had a nice, spacious room looking out onto the river. I liked the modern ambience of my room, however the bed was a bit too hard for my liking and I could hear a lot of noise coming from the riverside and the corridors, so it didn't seem like it was very well soundproofed. However I still managed to get a good nights sleep, probably more because I'd already had quite a few beers lol, so these issues were just minor. However the best thing about this hotel is the city centre location. Nicely perched on the riverside and just mere seconds to all the nice craft beer pubs on King Street. Will stay again!

Really enjoyed our stay here; room was waterside facing with two windows as a corner plot offering panoramic views. Had some noise overnight (Friday night) with people drunkenly passing, but nothing unbearable. Bed was comfortable, room adequately supplied, and the little tv in the bathroom was a fun touch! Breakfast offered a nice selection, though catering could have monitored supply more regularly, instead of before things ran out.. sausages were also very anaemic-looking and could have done with longer cooking!

I've stayed at this hotel twice before with little issues but this time I have to say I was unimpressed with numerous things. Ok positives first; the rooms are spacious, clean and warm with relatively comfortable beds. Large bathrooms with good amenities. Mini fridge and coffe maker nice additions. The central local is always a bonus. Negatives; We had a privilege suite with balcony which although stated no smoking had numerous cigarette ends on it. Out side the room in the hall there were dirty/used glasses and wine bottle (for the rooms next to us?) that were never removed during the 20hrs we were there?! Also there was NO prior warning that the lifts weren't working so we had to scale the 4 flights of stairs. This is not good for those who are disabled or struggle with mobility. I hope standard improve to how they were before this visit in the future.
