About The Fish Hotel
The Fish Hotel sits within the same 500-acre Farncombe Estate as its sister hotel Dormy House, high above Broadway village, but takes a more informal, playful approach to country house hospitality. Alongside conventional bedrooms and suites, the hotel offers a scattering of woodland treehouses and secluded huts across the hillside, giving guests a genuine choice between traditional comfort and something more unusual.
Hook, the estate's seafood-focused restaurant, serves a laid-back but polished menu seven days a week, with a bar lounge and a dedicated Sunday lunch service alongside it. The wider estate leans into outdoor activity as much as relaxation, with axe throwing, falconry, electric quad biking and a rifle range on offer alongside more conventional yoga and countryside walks, making it a good fit for groups or families who want more to do than a spa alone.
Dogs are welcomed across much of the property, in keeping with the estate's countryside setting, and the elevated position gives most rooms a clear view down over the Vale of Evesham. Broadway's High Street is a short drive or a walkable descent through the estate grounds.
What guests say
We had a great time at the Fish Hotel celebrating our wedding anniversary. We booked the hideaway hut for one night & we can honestly say how unforgettable it was! The huts are super clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need, and the mini bar was well stocked up! We also received a complimentary card with credit to spend on wine which was an added bonus. The hideaway hut came with a private hot tub and things to make a log fire, both really enjoyable whilst having a pint and a cocktail. The service around the hotel is amazing and the girls are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had, so much to choose from and all made fresh or produced locally. The hotel itself is in the most tranquil setting It’s so romantic at night when all the lights come on. It’s perfect if you want to escape the busy city life. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a fantastic time!

We visited The Fish Hotel for 4 nights for our baby moon. Let me start with the positive! The location itself is absolutely stunning and I couldn’t recommend trying this hotel highly enough. They have a wide variety of accommodation to suit most and despite welcoming children, they still manage to maintain a very boutique and luxurious feel. The staff are super friendly and can’t do enough to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one! There is plenty to do nearby and the food itself is really good. However, it would seem that on a busy night or morning, The Hook (restaurant) falls into a bit of chaos. More than a few times, we heard tables asking where their food was and if their order could be taken. In our case, requests taken at the table wouldn’t arrive and we would have to repeatedly chase it up. For example- If we requested a coffee at breakfast, it wouldn’t arrive or asking for condiments and twice, they wouldn’t arrive. It would appear that staff take a mental note of the orders and these are easily forgotten. It takes the shine off what is otherwise a 10/10 experience! To clarify, the staff (especially Hannah and manager Charlotte) are a credit to the hotel/restaurant. It was just a little frustrating that we would be coming into breakfast and dinner knowing that things weren’t running very smoothly.

Absolutely fabulous stay for a long Valentines weekend. Welcomed by an abundance of staff on arrival. Us and our dogs were made so welcome. The staff were helpful, personable and nothing was too much trouble. Beds for dogs in room, in the bar and when eating in the restaurant side room reserved for those with pups. Dogs got a bowl of sausages for breakfast. As for us humans the food quality at breakfast was a high standard. We ate at the bar upon arrival and enjoyed our wood fired pizzas. Valentines Hook restaurant seafood platter for two was very nice. The boot room was set up with information on hikes/ walks and loaner boots for the weather, plus towels and a bucket of balls for the dogs. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished, usual tea and coffee making facilities, small refrigerator. Nice spa shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Highly recommend and we will look to go back.

Loved our stay at the fish! We were in the Hideaway hut with our dog who also really enjoyed his stay and all the treats he got 😄 Big shout out to Aggy - she was so lovely and attentive, giving us local advice, remembering to follow up on questions we had and generally going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We’ll be back!
