Stable View
Bury

Hawkshaw is a quiet corner of Bury, and Stable View sits on Boardmans Farm—one of the oldest properties in the area, built in 1707. The cottage combines original features with everyday essentials: oak beams, a log fire, and a comfortable interior where you can genuinely settle in. A single-track lane leads up to it, keeping the setting peaceful and remote despite being close to village amenities.
Inside, there is one double bedroom upstairs with countryside views, a bathroom with bath and shower, and downstairs a sitting room with a sofa and log fire adjacent to a kitchen stocked for cooking. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The south-west-facing gardens have outdoor furniture for warmer days. Two cars can park on site, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
A pub is within a mile, and Hawkshaw village has a store for supplies. Smoking is not permitted. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.
