To be fair my kids had a great time at the foam party feeding the animals there were a few issues firstly the animal enclosure were far to small especially for the deer and goats together the goats dont let the deers get food they head butt the deers away the pig enclosure was full of rocks the water spot was tiny full of rocks and putrid green use the rocks to build up the water spot and make the water spot a fair size just after the entrance the smell of stagnant water hits you like a slap to the face add air blocks to the water or a few solar fountains and empty the water infront of the fairy town there's almost no grass in the enclosures the bird bath for the pidgens was vile completely green full of bird poo and I mean full of poo and its the only sauce of water for them to drink that needs sorting asap they have next to nothing to perch on just 1 near the top of the enclosure thats flat not great for their feet get a few round perches on the edges even adding a small bush would be better than nothing the birds are just sat in their doors because theres not enough places to sit over all the place needs a good sort out I wish I worked there just to sort the animals out also there's a hole in the goat enclosure on the dividing wall the goat almost got stuck on the fence as it squeezed through again my kids enjoyed it but for me the animal side needs a lot of work the pirate / entertainer at the front gate was genuinely friendly credit to the place he managed to get a smile from my grumpy daughter helped cheer her up thank you for that mr pirate ☠️

We had the best day here. There are so many things for the children (and adults) to do. Panning for gold, face painting, a play park, duck races and SO much more including a train and lots of animals. Dan the animal keeper was amazing with the children and his knowledge of the animals, answering all our questions about the array of animals at Gypsy Wood. We took a picnic but the food and drinks we purchased were also great. This one thing that stood out to me was the amount of seating in all the different areas, even the maze! There was always somewhere to sit and no scrabble for a bench at all! A truly great day out!

Thank you so so much to Gypsy Wood for holding a day where children/adults with a learning disability/autism could attend. We were one of the first to arrive and spent hours there, it was a superb day. Can’t thank all the staff enough for being so kind and lovely. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much, you made Isaacs day

Lovely place for family entertainment. I would say it's doable to visit with a child in a pram, in terms of terrain, although there is a lot more to do for children who are able to walk. I'd say kids up to maybe 9/10 would find stuff to enjoy here, although it is likely to be more magical and exciting for age 2-7, I'd say. There are ponies to pet and you can also brush them, which is a huge hit with little girls. There is a little train, which is great fun for everyone, and 2 or 3 small trampolines next to a good sized play park. You can also have a go at painting a real VW car, and do a duck water race. Given those two activities, I would highly recommend wearing clothes that are easy to clean, bringing wet wipes, and bringing a back up set of clothes for the kids in case they get soaked or covered in paint. It is all open air and there isn't much shade, so bring sunscreen. The lady who paints faces, Gaël, is lovely and great at putting little ones at ease. The fairy decor everywhere is lovely. The cafe is ok, with an indoor and outdoor section, which is useful if you want a bit of shade at lunchtime. I would say that the fairy herself is a bit disappointing - in my experience, they seem to employ very shy teenagers for this role, and as such they are not good at engaging with children or encouraging them to come in and say hello. Also, the fairy is not always on the premises. But, this is really not a problem, as long as you as a parent don't create too many expectations for your kids as regards the fairy.
