About Plas-Y-Bryn Chalet Park
Mighty scenic are the surrounds of Plas-Y-Bryn Chalet Park, a friendly family-run place a couple of miles outside Caernarfon where Snowdon itself peeks into view on clear days. This is a tiny, peaceful base – just a handful of pitches – ideal for walkers eager to explore Snowdonia's trails or families seeking a quiet corner of north Wales with spectacular mountain scenery as backdrop.
Staying put would mean missing the area's riches: seaside days on the Llŷn Peninsula, castles galore, heritage railways, and enough outdoor activities to suit any appetite for adventure – canoeing, climbing, fishing, horse riding, cycling, even ziplining. All accommodation comes with a fully equipped kitchen, though it's only a 15-minute stroll to Bontnewydd for a chippy supper or a pint in the village pub. Dogs are welcome year-round, barbecues allowed, and there's car parking by each unit. A gem for those who value tranquillity and views over on-site bells and whistles.

What visitors say
It is a small but quiet park. Our caravan was a bit dated and the TV was not easy to use. It was during warm weather so we had been used to sleeping without duvets and with the windows open at home but even with the heater on the bedrooms were cold at night!

Fantastic well maintained park bought a caravan here in October 18 and love it. However now after10 months had to leave this park, the caravan got very little sunshine and was very cold as a result, A car is needed to go anywhere because of park location and there is no where to give dogs a good run the access road to park is very narrow so take care on approach.

Amazing location. Really family friendly, lady who runs place is awesome! Dogs allowed, depends on chalet I think. Close to Snowdonia, 20 min drive. Can see Snowdon mountain in good weather. We stayed in Chalet, had washing machine, and dishwasher! Lol

I have been going to Plas Y Bryn since 2002 twice yearly, sometimes 3 with my little dog Bobbie. He has now passed over so I have 2 rescue dogs who go with me. Phil and Angela are brilliant hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are kept very tidy and they are dog friendly, but some caravans are kept pet free for anyone who has pet allergies, etc. The surrounding area is beautiful, not far from Cernarfon. There is a lovely beach nearby called Dinas Dille. Lovely walk. A visit to Bed Gelert is recommended. Beautiful village and a walk by a crystal clear stream. Not forgetting Tesco, Morrissons and Asda for shopping. Highly recommend a stay.
