Woodside Cottage

Woodside Cottage is a single-storey bungalow where you step straight into an open-plan space combining kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, suitable for cooking proper meals rather than holiday breakfasts alone. Double doors open onto a terrace; there's another patio outside too. Two double bedrooms sleep four people. One has an en-suite shower; the other is served by a separate shower room, so mornings run smoothly without negotiation over the bathroom.

The cottage sits on slightly raised ground looking towards Newbridge. Parking is on the driveway for one car; secure bike storage and a wash-down area are there as well, useful if you're heading out to the mountain biking routes South Wales is known for. A pub lies within a mile's walk. The train station, a shop and the canal path are all closer still. Caerphilly Castle—Britain's second-largest fortress—and Caerphilly Mountain are nearby for exploration. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking inside.
