Special stay at Hole in the Wall - After a wonderful day at Newmarket races, we made the short journey to the Hole in the Wall which is a very quaint inn with lots of personality. Our hosts were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was equally good. As I have some food intolerances, Sid made sure all my food was adapted to meet my dietary requirements. Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely return.

We didn’t stay in the rooms, but we visited the restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic! Even though we arrived last minute, the staff were still happy to serve us and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing, genuinely some of the best we’ve had in a long time. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout. Portion sizes were very generous, even for the kids’ meals. The Sunday roast was simply exquisite one of the best I’ve had in quite a while. The gravy was rich and full of flavour, and the dessert at the end was pure magic. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be returning!

We had a week's tour of the Cambridge area, Suffolk and Norfolk in mid May, so chose to base ourselves in Little Wilbraham, a very small village which is within an hour's drive of historic and scenic attractions in the area, eg Audley End House, Saffron Waldren, Lavenham, Duxford Air Museum and many more. The Hole in the Wall is a 15th century grade 2 listed pub. The building is charming and well maintained. Our room was very clean, comfortable and cosy. The meals served here are wonderful, prepared by a very experienced and talented chef. The menu has a great range of choices, with the Sunday roast a specialty and very popular. Staff here are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our visit here will always be a happy memory, and we highly recommend The Hole in the Wall.
