About Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, Cambridge
Quy Mill Hotel & Spa suits travellers after a slower-paced break rather than a city-centre stay, with grounds and gardens near Cambridge and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. It works equally well for a spa weekend, a wedding party, or a stopover for exploring Cambridgeshire.
Rooms are en-suite and come in family and accessible options, with room service, drinks in room, and laundry service on hand. The restaurant and bar serve meals throughout the day, including a well-regarded breakfast and afternoon tea, and the on-site gym, indoor pool, sauna and hot tub give guests plenty to do without leaving the grounds, though the spa area itself doesn't always feel as well kept as the rest of the hotel. Staff are consistently helpful and professional, and rooms are kept clean and comfortable.
Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing and horse riding, along with nearby pubs and restaurants for evenings out. Cambridge itself is within easy reach for anyone wanting to combine the retreat with a day of sightseeing.

What guests say
If you are visiting the spa or hotel, there is no need to pay for parking. The first three hours are free, but you must register your vehicle at reception. I recently enjoyed a spa day with friends and had a lovely time overall. The facilities were great, and it was a relaxing experience. The service in the spa was a little slow at times, which seemed to be due to staff shortages in that area. We also had a Sunday roast in the hotel restaurant, which was delicious and very enjoyable. Service was again a bit slow, but the quality of the food made up for the wait. Overall, a pleasant day out with good facilities, tasty food, and convenient parking.

What a lovely hotel! My husband and I stayed recently for 3 nights. The room was spotless, and water, tea, coffee and biscuits were provided daily . The room was very quiet and we had a lovely view of the pretty garden. We slept like logs on the comfy bed and came down to a freshly cooked breakfast. There were plenty of other breakfast options too. Everyone was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and I can recommend the fish and chips which was piping hot and they were good sized portions. I visited the spa twice during our stay, and can honestly say I have never been in such warm water. It was heaven! The pool is a good size and wasn’t busy. Parking has to be paid for each day, but this was easy to do and wasn’t a problem as we read about it before booking. A great hotel which I will be visiting again several times in the next few weeks as my husband is being treated at Papworth hospital, which is only a short drive from the hotel. Thank you for a great stay Ben and all of your team.

What a lovely place to stay, not far from the centre of Cambridge, so cabs are reasonably priced and you're not in the hustle & bustle! Unless, you want to be! Great rooms, we stayed in a room with an outside terrace, which was great if you want an al fresco coffee or glass of wine. The spa is brilliant. Lawrence was helpful, knowledgeable and knew how to upsell treatments, that we didn't even know were available. Tasha, the hot stones massage was perfect. The front of house staff were completely charming, what a pleasure to meet them...Claire, full of personality & a credit to Quy Mill, as were Leo, Taryn & Charles. This team made our stay even better. Personalities and enthusiasm are the foundations of a great business. We will be back!

Expensive place to stay anyway, and that's before staying customers (who don't book directly) have to pay £10.50 per day via Ringo for a car parking lot on their property (I could understand if it was in the town centre without parking). The breakfast, which was painfully slow and averagely unremarkable, was also an extra £32 for a couple. Room was ok but no air con in this summers heat again, for the price, was a poor show too as it was difficult to sleep and leaving the exit doors wide open and having to leave ground floor windows open (for fresh air) then presents a massive safety issue for many people! Staff were decent and the place generally was ok, bit tired looking in places. 3 star hotel at best.
