Llandow Touring Caravan Park
Llandow, Cowbridge CF71 7PB, UK
Family-run park near Cowbridge, roughly 14 miles from Cardiff and 15 minutes from the coast
About Llandow Touring Caravan Park
Established in 1991 and still run by the same family, Llandow spreads across open Vale of Glamorgan farmland between Cowbridge and the coast. The site's roughly 175 pitches are thoughtfully divided so short-stay tourers aren't mixed with seasonal residents, and the facilities are notably strong: two well-maintained shower blocks, fast wi-fi across the park, laundry rooms and a daytime shop at reception. Electric hook-ups come as standard, the ground is level and well-drained, and a children's play park sits safely away from access roads. Hedgerows and wildlife margins have earned the park a silver David Bellamy Conservation Award.
Cardiff lies half an hour away via the A48, Cowbridge's independent shops are ten minutes, and beaches at Llantwit Major and Southerndown roughly fifteen. Dogs are welcome, with quiet lane walking from the gate. This is a straightforward, well-kept touring site rather than a lively holiday park—no bars or entertainment—and it suits caravanners and motorhomes best, though campers are accommodated. The season runs roughly February to November, so confirm dates for early spring or late autumn visits.

What visitors say
Been camping there for the third time. The pitches are really great size, the the facilities are clean and tidy. The staff is super helpful and have gone the extra mile to accommodate us on a last minute reservation. While not the park's responsibility, sometimes there are a couple of drivers thinking they are in Fast and Furious and are speeding up and down, making a lot of noise that can be heard in the camping. The premises have trees and I love it for that, because it protects us from wind and sun and it is so fresh and green. I just have a remark that I noticed on the 3 times I have been there: the freezer was totally full and by the looks of it, it hasn't been checked for a while. Some other campsites will clear stuff if not identified and with departure date. And some stuff looked it's been there forever. Nevertheless, close to Bridgend beach, one of my favourite beaches, I always met nice people in the campsite, never had any trouble with anything, including noise at night. There is a playground for the children, plenty of space for us to play with the dogs, the facilities are in order, and everything works as it should. I will totally come back.

What a wonderful weekend we had. This was our first ever outing in our new caravan and to say we were feeling nervous is an under statement :-) But the team at Llandow were fantastic, really helpful and full of useful info and tips. The site itself exceeded all out expectations; clean, well appointed and in a great location for exploring local beaches and market towns. The kids really enjoyed the freedom and safety of the site and spending their pocket money in the shop. We will be back!

First time touring and we were very lucky to find this little hidden gem! We had a few teething problems with it being our first time and all the staff and members on the site were so kind and super helpful! They truly went above and beyond to help us and make us feel at home! We would definitely go again facilities were clean the site was nice and quiet. A prefect little spot to rest and recharge!

well…..!! Absolutely shocked at the state of it. 1. Toilets dirty! 2. Staff not to be seen! 3. Evening/Night warden/s or whoever is in charge drinking on shift, very unprofessional. 4. I assume residents onsite around the park, drinking and walking around late drunk!! Kids being left in vans with NO parents in site…. Unless they were drinking so left unsupervised!! Reception shop bare minimal in there. Park equipment absolutely disgusting and not enough there. Genuinely this is shocking. States 4 star touring and camping, definitely doesn’t deserve 4. Highly recommend site needs reviewing and actually allow decent campers/residents to stay there. Absolutely no respect on site from seasonal residents. Just hope all this is taken seriously to allow it to be at a decent standard camp site.
