Riverside campsite, welcoming large groups and located directly on the Pennine Way and C2C cycle route.

About Garrigill Village Hall Campsite and Bunkroom

Tucked into England's highest village at the foot of Cross Fell, Garrigill Village Hall Campsite sits right on the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast cycle route – making it brilliantly placed for walkers and cyclists tackling these long-distance trails. The riverside pitches have a genuinely remote feel, though facilities are reassuringly solid: hot showers, toilets, drinking water and WiFi all on tap. It's particularly popular with groups and families looking for an unpretentious base in the North Pennines.

Open year-round, the site works well for hardy campers chasing winter solitude as much as summer adventures. Note that dogs aren't permitted, which may disappoint some, but the welcome is warm and the village pub – a short stroll away – rounds things off nicely.

Everything you need in a bunk room -- big kitchen, drying room, showers, a dining table upstairs, bedding and towels provided. Great accommodation on the Pennine Way.

Amazing!! Just did a very cold wet hike, this is great, dry room, kitchen, chill space. I will be dry and recharged, ready to hit the Pennine Way again :-)

Great stop over on the Pennine Way if you don't fancy the extra 4 miles into Alston. Availability of a full kitchen and a cupboard of food you can make a donation for makes up for the lack of places to eat in the village. We were the only poeple camping on the green at the back of the hall and had a very peaceful nights sleep.

Great place to stay walking pennine way! Camped at the back, really flat well drained. Access to toilet and for extra £3 access to the inside kitchen, shower, drying room and sockets to charge phone. Really friendly caring hosts and easy to book online. There is also a honesty box cubed with tins, pasta, tea, coffee, milk ect. Post office in town which has mini shop with tins, snacks, ice cream, longlife milk ect really handy.
