Built originally as a cow shed and milking parlour in the 1900s, Sgubor Llwyndu has been converted to a high standard while keeping its character as a single-storey rural retreat. The property sits on a working beef and sheep farm in Carmarthenshire, with the owners' home adjacent and the countryside visible through its patio doors. Everything is on one level: two bedrooms (a double with ensuite wet room, and a twin), a family bathroom, and an open-plan living and kitchen space. One dog stays free, though pets must be kept on a lead as you're on an active farm.
The kitchen comes equipped with everything needed for self-catering, from electric hob and oven to dishwasher and microwave. A woodburner warms the living area on cooler evenings, and patio doors open onto a large enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue. The private hot tub fits four. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; logs for the woodburner are available at £6.50 per basket beyond the initial supply. Parking is provided for two cars.
Ammanford town centre is nearby, with a coffee roastery, shops, supermarkets and local pubs. The property suits families and couples seeking a working farm setting rather than an isolated retreat. Smoking is not permitted inside.
