Carmarthen Bay stretches along the Carmarthenshire coast between Ferryside and Kidwelly, with beaches at Pembrey and Llanstephan within easy reach. Tanylan Farm Cottages – Coeden Afal sits on this stretch, part of a small cluster of renovated farm buildings. The setting puts you within a short drive of Kidwelly's historic castle, Laugharne and its Dylan Thomas connections, and the National Botanical Garden of Wales.

The cottage has two bedrooms – one with a double bed and sofa bed, one with two singles – and sleeps up to six. A bathroom with bath and shower over serves the upstairs. Downstairs, the living room has a woodburner and smart TV; the kitchen-dining room is equipped for cooking and includes a dishwasher. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with logs for the stove. An enclosed garden with patio contains a barbecue, firepit and pizza oven (on request), plus your private hot tub. One dog is welcome, staying free. There are no smoking restrictions to note.

Fos Las racecourse is 15 minutes' drive away; the Gower, designated Britain's first AONB, and the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire lie further afield but remain accessible for day trips. Golf, riding, fishing and water sports are available locally.
