Tanylan Farm Cottages - Hawton is a converted Welsh barn with original stone walls and timber beams, standing near Kidwelly on Carmarthen Bay between Ferryside and the coast. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: one double with its own shower room, and two further bedrooms with single beds. A second bathroom serves the rest of the house, and downstairs there is a separate toilet, dining room and a living space with a woodburner (logs included to start you off).
The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with electric cooking, a dishwasher and all the usual appliances. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. Outside, an enclosed garden with patio area includes a private hot tub, a pizza oven and a barbecue, plus garden furniture and a bike store. One car can park on-site. The cottage welcomes one pet at no extra cost, and a travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Smoking is not permitted.
This corner of Carmarthenshire puts you within reach of Kidwelly Castle, the beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan, and the Gower Peninsula. Laugharne and its Dylan Thomas connections are a short drive away, as is the National Botanical Garden of Wales. Local pubs serve fresh fish and there are opportunities for golf, riding and water sports nearby.

The facilities at Hawton Cottage were home from home. Everything you needed was provided. I thought the hot tub was a luxury that wasn’t needed but that is my personal opinion. The pond swimming pool was a unique feature which all the family enjoyed and was located in a very peaceful area.

We have just got home from a fabulous bank holiday weekend stay here. We stayed in the camping area and from the moment we arrived up until the time we left the owners were so friendly helpful & welcoming. We have had the best weekend. The site is so clean everyone was so friendly. The hot food on site was really good value for money and the facilities were always clean. Just a short walk to the beach , shop & arcades if needed. Its our 2nd time here and we loved it. Thank you 😎🤩

Brilliant family trip! We stayed in the stable block for 3 nights with 6 adults and 6 children ages 5 - 70 years old. Everyone loved the property and the location. Fantastic facilities, especially the natural pool and sauna. Children loved the hot tub and games room. Beds were so comfortable and the ensuites in each were very practical. Dad said best bath he's ever had and he is very tall! Decor throughout was beautiful and the service through the warden and owners was first class. Would love to return. Thank you for the memories!

We had a lovely stay in the cottages. Lovely hot tub in the garden and we hired the pizza oven as well Lovely sauna and cold water pond. Just make sure to book with the warden a slot to use sauna. Great location, lovely views. Well equipped cottages, very family and dog friendly
