The National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate, with its walled gardens and historic buildings, is also accessible for a day out.

The Cabin in the Woods is a detached, one-bedroom cabin set back in its own acre of woodland. It sleeps four: one double bed and two bunks in the bedroom, all on a single floor with an open-plan living and dining space. A wood burner heats the cabin and creates a focal point for the evenings; a gas cooker handles meal preparation. The shower and toilet are in an external room, part of the off-grid experience. An external utility room houses a fridge and freezer. Electricity, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the burner are included; there is parking for two cars on site and one pet is welcome.

This is genuinely remote—access is via a steep footpath, though the owners will transport luggage by quad bike if needed. It suits people wanting to step back from routine and connectivity rather than those seeking entertainment or luxury. No smoking is permitted.
