Llansteffan is a small seaside village on Carmarthen Bay where the beach lies just downhill from the village centre. Victoria House Apartments occupies the ground floor of a converted period property, giving you direct access to an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. The whole place is yours alone, with space for six across three bedrooms: a kingsize, a zip-and-link super kingsize (which can be split into two singles), and a pair of singles. There is one shower room.

The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave, so you can cook as simply or ambitiously as you want. The open-plan living and dining area has patio doors opening onto the courtyard. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. One dog stays free and gets extra touches like a welcome pack; a travel cot and highchair are available if you need them. The village has traditional Welsh restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

From here you can reach the ruins of Llansteffan Castle on foot, walk the Millennium Coastal Path, or drive to Pembrey Country Park with its riding trails and dry ski slope. The walled coastal town of Tenby is roughly 45 minutes away. No smoking inside, and check-in is after 16:00.
