About Laugharne View Caravan Site

Perched on a working smallholding with sweeping views over the Taf estuary and out to Caldey Island, Laugharne View Caravan Site is a peaceful retreat for motorhomes, caravans and tents in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Guests consistently praise the well-maintained pitches – including adults-only viewside spots and fully-serviced hardstanding options – along with clean facilities and a genuinely quiet atmosphere. The on-site Hayday bar opens weekend evenings in high season for drinks and occasional live music, while a local pub sits just five minutes' walk away.

Walkers will love the direct access to footpaths leading to Llansteffan's sandy beach and 12th-century castle, or onward along the coast path. Dogs are welcome year-round to explore the spacious grounds and surrounding trails. The site's basic shower block lacks hot water, which some visitors note, but the spectacular scenery and helpful staff more than compensate. Carmarthen's boutiques and the antique Gwili Steam Railway lie a short drive away. Note the strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy throughout.

Contacted at the last minute and they were happy to accommodate our campervan and dogs. Lovely clean facilities, nice pitch, beautiful wild flower meadows. The view is stunning.

Small, quiet site (few guests - April weekdays) with great views. Clearly well thought through (and also soon to be improved) WC/shower/wash-up facilities. All very clean & well maintained. Lovely walk round peninsula from site.

Loved it !! What a view we had ! Do ask for a pitch with a view . We watched a magical sunset . Lovely to meet and chat to Sian , the owner who was very helpful . It is a 5 minute walk to the Farmers pub in Llanybri and a 25 minute walk to The Inn at the Sticks in Llansteffan which we love . We opted to catch the bus from outside the campsite and had a late lunch - fabulous food ! Worth checking the bus timetable as they are sporadic but on time !! There is a bar on site on the weekends where you can sip a Welsh ale whilst watching the sun set . We will be back as soon as we can . Diolch Sian

This is very much a ‘no’ type of place. Before introducing himself and telling us who he was, the owner ran off a long list of things we couldn’t do. My own list of nos about this site are: No hot water for the washing up No hot water taps in bathroom Nowhere to put general waste No(t) dog-friendly (described in detail as such, but barely tolerated) No manners
