Hafan Gwyn works well for families or groups of up to six looking for a base near the Ceredigion coast. The cottage has three bedrooms—two with king beds and one double with a pull-down bed—spread over two floors, plus two bathrooms. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with French doors opening to an enclosed garden where the private hot tub sits. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with dishwasher and washer-dryer among the appliances. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.
The property sits in Felinwynt, minutes from beaches and the Felinwynt Playbarn and Cafe, which is useful if you have young children. The coastal footpath passes nearby for walks. Essentials like bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included; travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available on request. The enclosed rear garden has a courtyard, seating area and barbecue. There is a step into the garden. Two cars can park on the property. No smoking inside.

This place is amazing, and they will have a second property to rent out in Spring 2024 which they are currently finishing off. Everything at Hafan Gwyn is top of the range, from the building itself to the furniture and fittings – no expense has been spared. The place was spotlessly clean and fully kitted out with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave etc, and they even included dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods. The bed linen and towels were top notch also to the point where they looked and felt brand new. The cottage was so well presented that we all remarked that it felt like no one had ever stayed there before. There was even tea, coffee, sugar, milk and some other little goodies in the welcome pack which was such a nice surprise, and they didn’t forget doggie treats for our pooch either. The hot tub deserves its own special mention – it is located within the fully enclosed and private garden area and was the best end to each day of excursions. And the bath robes provided were fantastic for sitting in the garden in the evenings after the hot tub. The location too is superb with many more things to see and do than 7 days would allow us. Dan and Hayley were delightful hosts, they didn’t bother us at all, but were really quick to respond to our questions. Dan even showed us around the new cottage construction in the pouring rain!

My family and I recently stayed at Hafan Gwyn holiday cottage in Ceredigion, and we had a wonderful time! The cottage is beautifully situated in a quiet, picturesque countryside setting, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and fields. The cottage itself is very charming and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with lots of natural light and plenty of storage space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils we needed to cook meals during our stay, and there's a lovely outdoor dining area where we could enjoying the sunshine. One of our favourite features of the cottage was the luxurious jacuzzi, which provided the perfect way to relax after a long day of exploring the beautiful Ceredigion countryside. The jacuzzi was spacious and well-maintained, with powerful jets and comfortable seating. We spent many evenings soaking in the warm water, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and gazing up at the stars. It was a truly indulgent experience and one of the highlights of our stay at Hafan Gwyn. The location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. There are plenty of lovely walks and hikes in the nearby hills and forests, and the coast is just a short drive away. We particularly enjoyed visiting the nearby town of Aberystwyth, which has a charming seaside promenade and plenty of shops and restaurants. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Hafan Gwyn and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the Welsh countryside. The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully situated, and the owners were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We hope to return soon!
