Families and small groups will find Montrose works well for a few days by the sea. The stone-built terraced house holds three bedrooms and sleeps five, with a single bathroom upstairs. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super king (which can be separated into twins), another a double, and the third a single. Downstairs are a living room with an electric fire and TV, a snug with its own television, and a kitchen-dining space fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, along with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed.

The property sits within Haven Quay West Holiday Park, a 10-minute walk from New Quay's harbour. An enclosed courtyard with garden furniture opens onto the park's grounds, from which there is pedestrian access down to Traeth Gwyn beach, which welcomes dogs year-round. One well-behaved dog stays free. New Quay itself has pubs, restaurants and shops clustered around its working harbour, and the surrounding coastline of Ceredigion offers walking and beaches. There is on-road parking and no smoking indoors.
