The Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast stretches along this part of Wales with paths threading through ancient woodland and along clifftops, making it ideal walking country. Mwnt sits in the hamlet of Nanternis, three and a half miles from New Quay, within reach of the National Trust cove at Cwmtydu—a pebbly beach where seals often haul out in autumn and where 18th-century smugglers once operated. Lanes and footpaths start from the doorstep, leading into the unspoilt landscape around you.
The cottage is a single-storey building with one bedroom upstairs, where a king-size bed sits in a galleried space. Downstairs, the living and dining room has a woodburner and French doors opening to a patio and enclosed lawn where a BBQ is available. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher and washer-dryer. A bath with shower, toilet and one bathroom complete the layout. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with a welcome pack and initial fuel for the wood burner. The property is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site. No smoking is permitted.
It suits couples and two people travelling together, with enough space for a proper stay without feeling cramped. The village of New Quay, three miles away, has shops, pubs and restaurants if you want to venture out from your base.
