Ceredigion

Llandysul sits in the heart of Ceredigion's countryside, where the Teifi Valley meets coastal access to Cardigan Bay. The Fisherman's Loft is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping six, positioned to take in views across rolling hills and toward the sea. It's the kind of place where you can spend mornings on country walks and afternoons exploring nearby beaches at Borth or Ynys Las, with Aberystwyth and Machynlleth within reach for a change of scene.

The ground floor holds a kitchen-diner with seating for six, a sitting room with a wood-burner and French doors opening onto a patio, and a bathroom. Upstairs, two generous bedrooms each have an en-suite shower room; one overlooks the bay. The kitchen comes equipped for cooking properly—electric oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher—and there's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The enclosed garden wraps around the property with a lawn, patio furniture, gas barbecue and a six-seater hot tub; the driveway has gated parking. No smoking inside.

This suits families or groups wanting their own space for a week or two, with enough outdoor room for children to play and somewhere to gather in the evening. The Pentre Arms is near by for an occasional night out.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The location is just perfect!! Literally a stones throw away from the beach. We loved the terrace and enjoyed sitting up there and looking out to sea with our dinner/ drinks. The property itself has lots of character and plenty of space. Could do with some updating but it’s full of charm. We all slept comfortably. Plenty of kitchen accessories which was perfect for when we stayed in and cooked. The added bonus of a washing machine is handy with little ones. Could just have done with a tea towel and extra bin liners as we couldn’t find any additional ones other than what was in the bin. We understood to bring towels and bed linen which was fine. As there was a property directly below with local residents living there, you did feel quite self conscious of any noise so it’s abit difficult with little ones so families may need to bare that in mind as the floor boards are creaky. The village itself was perfect, lovely local pub and cafes and ice cream parlour. Very relaxed and friendly.

A lovely cottage in a lovely place. Firstly the cottage is in a great location down on the front, ideal for days on the beach if you have little ones, saves carrying your beach stuff up and down any one of the hills ;-) The premises is very comfortable, kitchen has all you need and the bathroom is large too. There is a seating area outside with a sea view which was very useful as we spent many an afternoon on there after tiring ourselves out walking. Will be booking again for sure. Now about the location, Llangrannog has probably the best kept secret in Wales, a hidden 2nd beach. Pure sands and great waves, and probably the most peaceful setting you could wish for. The Fishing village has a brilliant pub, 2 cafe's and a Pizza place that all do incredible food. It is a very quiet place, and we are already longing to be back there.

Fisherman's Loft is a very attractive and welcoming holiday home. Situated almost on the sea front and with The Ship Inn yards away the location is ideal. I would say that in common with many "pet friendly" cottages this only means they accept pets. There is no safe enclosed garden or safety gate on the patio off the kitchen so if like us you have a dog that needs an enclosed environment this is not for you. The rooms here are beautiful and full of character, the beds are very comfortable and we had the best nights sleep in a while!
