Ty Coch Cottage

Ceredigion

View on Google Maps

Ty Coch Cottage sits on a 200-acre working farm near the Ceredigion coast. The semi-detached farmhouse has exposed stone walls and beams, with three bedrooms and a bathroom spread across two floors. Downstairs there is a living room with a wood-burning stove, a kitchen and dining room with electric cooking, and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two doubles and one with twin singles, sleeping six in total. An enclosed garden and patio are available, though the garden is accessed across the farmyard.

The cottage is privately yours for the duration of your stay. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with parking for three cars on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. The owners can suggest walks across the farmland that work with the farm's seasonal grazing patterns, and there is a river and stream within the grounds—both unfenced. A bike store is on hand if you want to explore further afield.

What makes this location special is its proximity to the Ceredigion coast. New Quay lies just a few miles away, a steep-sided harbour town where bottlenose dolphins are frequently spotted from the water or the harbour wall. Aberaeron, with its Georgian architecture and colourful seafront, is equally close. Many local beaches are open to dogs year-round, and the coastal paths offer constant views across the water.
