Welshouse
Ceredigion
The Ceredigion coast is a 15-minute drive away, but Welshouse sits deep in countryside where rolling fields, grazing animals and distant views of the Preseli mountains fill the outlook. This converted barn occupies a smallholding in the rolling landscape around Henllan, with Newcastle Emlyn's shops and restaurants just six minutes down the road.
Inside, the ground floor is arranged as one open living space: a kitchen for proper cooking, a dining area, and a sitting room centred on a wood-fired stove with doors that open onto a private garden. Upstairs, a galleried landing with armchairs and books sits between two bedrooms—a kingsize and a twin. There is one bathroom with a shower. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are provided; the wood for the stove is included too. The enclosed back garden has a patio, seating and a barbecue.
One well-behaved dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead in the sheep country around the property. Parking for two cars is on site. A good base for couples, families or anyone wanting quiet: the locality offers bird-watching, hiking, and easy access to woodland walks beside the River Teifi. No smoking inside.
