One of my favourite museums at the moment, this being my first visit - on a Saturday early afternoon. Pretty quiet on the day. You are free to walk around and look at the exhibits/buses in any order. There are lots of buses to see and a few of them you can walk inside. Its great to see so many classic buses being well looked after. They have heritage bus services a few Sundays every month. Current adult entry £7.50 which is excellent value. There are bus stops nearby but if walking it's only about 25 minutes from Manchester Victoria up Cheetham Hill main road.

Recently visited this museum, brilliant experience. Bigger on the inside than I imagined. A large amount of older busses to see and experience. They also have heritage days and various things for people to join in with.

My son adores this place and we visit frequently, the staff are always so welcoming and the range of displays and information are brilliant! It’s always great to see the restoration projects in the background also! Grab yourself a brew and one of the children’s fun packs and away you go!

One of the buses was at the 1940s day in Heywood today. We were on the bus with the refugee kids. Big thank you to the driver and his lovely granddaughter who was sat next to us. She was so proud of him and we loved the experience.
