Farmhouse Cottage is a converted farm cottage with one bedroom and one ensuite bathroom, sleeping two. The ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen in one open space with original beams, a 40-inch TV with Freesat, and a kitchen fitted with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Upstairs, the bedroom has a zip-and-link bed and an ensuite with bath and shower. Oil central heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included; there is also use of the owner's freezer.
The cottage sits in green countryside between the Peak District hills and the Cheshire Plain. A pub is within a mile. Walking country is immediate—across farmland to Bosley Cloud, or along the Macclesfield Canal with its famous twelve-lock flight at Bosley. Macclesfield Forest and Teggs Nose Country Park are a short drive away, as are the stone outcrops of the Roaches. The market towns of Macclesfield, Leek and Congleton offer shops and restaurants; further afield lie Chester, Buxton, Jodrell Bank and the National Trust properties at Styal Mill and Biddulph Grange.
Private parking for four cars is on site, and a bike store is available. No smoking is permitted in the property.
