Beachside resort at Selsey, around eight miles south of Chichester, with touring pitches

About Seal Bay Resort

Seal Bay Resort occupies a prime beachside position at Selsey on the tip of the Manhood Peninsula, around eight miles south of Chichester. Though primarily built around static caravan ownership, it maintains a dedicated area of grass touring pitches with electric hookup and fully serviced options—making it one of the few sites near Chichester that genuinely welcomes tents and tourers. Safari tents, beach pods and lodges provide alternatives for those without their own gear.

The scale is ambitious: two swimming pool complexes (one indoor with slides, one outdoor lido), adventure golf, a funfair, soft play, arcades and a full summer entertainment programme keep families occupied. A free on-site bus links the touring field to the beach and main facilities, and there's a shop, several food outlets, WiFi and a playground. Dog-friendly pitches and a dedicated walking area are available.

This is a lively, amenity-heavy base for families wanting direct coastal access and plenty of activity, rather than a peaceful retreat. Peak summer weeks book far ahead. The beach itself is a short walk from the touring field, and Chichester's cathedral and shops offer a change of pace when the resort's buzz becomes too much.

Had a little holiday with family and friends last half term. Caravan was clean and tidy. Dissapointed the van didnt have towels as we booked a gold. Also struggled to get in with fob so had to call customer services who attended 4 minutes later so brilliant customer service. Fantastic location on the beach, amazing funfair on site which we all loved. Lots of things to do for kids although you had to pay for soft play? 3 of us adults used the spa services, although slightly expensive for what it is, it was a lovely couple of hours relaxing. Personally i think the swimming pools etc need upgrading but it was fun for the time we used it. Asda 5 minute drive away, lovely little town to. Massive park so please be warned you may have to walk alot or use the bus shuttle service. Overall a good litte getaway. Would return.

Just come back from a 4 night stay at seal bay. We had such a lovely time, plenty to do all throughout the day! Beach was a 2 minute walk from our caravan, it’s a stoney beach with little patches of sand so sandcastles could still be made! The swimming pool was brilliant with flumes, lazy river, toddler pool etc. entertainment was also good, very interactive for the kids. Massive massive arcades with lots of different machines. The food at the cafe lido was really great with lots of options however, I really wouldn’t recommend the box fish and chips, rock solid chips, flavourless fish and very greasy batter the staff there were really lovely though. There are other actives available to do for a small fee, my little girl did the net bounce with her dad which was something new and exiting, there was also the option for pottery & teddy bear making which we simply didn’t have enough time to try as there was so much to do. There is a family run fair ground on site £15 for unlimited rides was great selection for little kids and the staff were so kind and approachable. Staff overall are excellent. Special mention to Gary who works for security who on his day off helped my partner find his phone he left on the bus. The bus driver who we saw throughout the week was also amazing, friendly, great customer service and people who genuinely care about their jobs. My ONLY criticism was when we arrived our caravan living room was really noticeably dirty. Sand and grass over the floors, thick with dog hair and crumbs all over the floor and sofa. I do think had I asked the reception they would have cleaned it or moved us but considering the rest of the caravan was clean and I was there with my young child and dog who would have made mess themselves, it wasn’t worth asking about. Overall very good and will be back 😃

The number of activities connectivity to the beach was good. The facilities were ok. However, not being told regarding a concert which was ‘staff only’ on the dog walking field running until very late (post 10:30) was appalling. From speaking to other people they were also not told about this OR were told this would only be running on the Friday and Saturday (not the Thursday night). It would have been nice to know before booking so we could have booked something else. Please be more informative on the website and booking system.

We were in the Touring Field and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenity block was clean, well- maintained with plenty of facilities and hot water. The bus is an amazing service and we enjoyed time at The Viking. Being an older couple we were less interested in the West Sands enterprise centre, but the White Horse centre had a lovely outdoor pool area and useful shop. The only detraction for us was the very loud and continuous noise from the occupants of several large motor homes to beyond 0230 hrs on the Friday night /Saturday morning 26/27 June. We expected noise after the England match but 2 nights on the trot was a bit much.
