About Minton Hill Pods
It's pretty darn peaceful at Minton Hill Pods, tucked into remote woodland on a family-run hill farm in the Shropshire Hills AONB. Just two adults per pod, with stackable beds that convert into a sofa when you're travelling solo—freeing up space to relax with a book or gather round the open firepit come sunset. Solar panels power the lights and charging points, while hot showers, flushing loos and washing-up facilities keep things civilised off-grid.
Step outside and you're spoilt for choice: the Minton Bach mountain bike trail is a few hundred yards away, Carding Mill Valley four miles north, and wild swimming spots await on the heather-carpeted Long Mynd plateau after an hour's walk. The pods themselves can feel a touch snug if you bring much kit, but that's the trade-off for such a tranquil, back-to-basics hideaway. Church Stretton's cafés and supermarket are five minutes by car; closer still, Marshbrook's pub is a fifteen-minute walk for hearty meals and a warm atmosphere.
