About St Nicholas Hotel
St Nicholas Hotel occupies a High Street position in the heart of Colchester, a practical base for exploring one of England's oldest recorded towns. The hotel itself is unfussy and modern in its amenities, with a lift for easy access between floors and accessible rooms available for those who need them.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and free WiFi throughout, while 24 hour reception means arrivals and queries are never restricted to office hours. Breakfast is served on site, and guests with electric vehicles can make use of the charge point. Beyond the hotel, Colchester Castle is within easy reach, and the immediate area has plenty of pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries nearby, along with entertainment and watersports options for those looking to fill a day out.
It suits travellers who want a comfortable, no-nonsense stay close to the town's historic core rather than a destination in itself.
