Siabod

Photo: Google Maps

Siabod is a converted barn in Llanddoged, a village on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It sleeps eight across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it suitable for families or groups wanting to explore the mountains together. The ground floor has a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and one bedroom with an ensuite. Upstairs, two further bedrooms share a family bathroom. One pet is welcome. Parking for three cars is on site, and wi-fi is available throughout.

The valley setting means easy access to serious walking—the ridge itself rises to 2,861 feet with marked paths and mountain views—but the village also sits close to less strenuous options. Llanrwst, a market town 1.5 miles away, has shops and pubs. Betws y Coed, known for woodland walks and waterfalls, is six miles distant. The coast near Conwy is fourteen miles off. Bodnant Gardens, award-winning and open to visitors, lies nearby for those wanting a quieter day. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen and towels—are included. No smoking is permitted inside.

Amazing walk defo not for the faint hearted some real hard scramble to get through before reaching the top but when up there a real good feeling of achievement we took our dog and she is well experienced but still had to carry her in some of the way the views up there are some of the best you will see in snowdonia well recommended 10/10

A great place to hike up. We use the challenging but easy to follow path from Capel Curig. You can park in the layby by the entrance gate if you get the early enough, but there are more laybys along the road if it's full. Great views all the way to the top once out of the forest.

Special place for a walk, quiet, with different routes you can choose, trails are moderately marked so be aware. Level is quite hard to the top, expect stunning views.
