Ty Capel

Photo: Y Capel guest house

Ty Capel works well for couples seeking a quiet break, or single travellers wanting their own space. This detached guest house sits on the owner's grounds in the Conwy Valley, with a private garden and hot tub reserved for your use alone. One dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead in this sheep farming area. Arrive after 15:00 and depart by 11:00.

The property is laid out simply: ground floor has an open-plan living space with woodburner, dining area, and kitchen equipped for basic cooking. A shower room is also downstairs. Upstairs, the bedroom contains a double bed and Freeview TV. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Private parking for two cars is available, and there's an electric car charging point if needed.

Location-wise, the cottage sits between Conwy and Betws-y-Coed, about 9 miles from the latter, which serves as a gateway to Snowdonia National Park. Llanrwst market town is minutes away with shops and pubs. The Marin Bike Trails and Geirionydd Lake are nearby for outdoor pursuits. There is an unfenced pond 300 yards from the property. No smoking inside.

Cannot fault this lovely place. Right in the heart of Conwy. With parking included just adds to everything else. It is totally faultless. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Lovely location close to pubs, shops and restaurants. Really clean and well equipped rooms set in an old chapel. Awesome shower and big spacious room with air con. Excellent breakfast included from nearby pub.

Outstanding New Year's stay at Y Chapel. The rooms are luxurious, modern, and very well equipped. Breakfast is served just across the road at The Erskine Arms, and it was outstanding. We also enjoyed lunch and dinner there; the food is consistently great. A perfect base for exploring Conwy!

A lovely converted chapel, close to the centre of Conwy. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the communal lounge space to relax in. Very quiet venue whilst we were there. Lovely breakfast each day at the pub across the road. Parking was good, but might get full during the main tourist season.
