About Lamarth Farm Campsite

Tucked into the Cornish countryside near Helston, Lamarth Farm strikes a lovely balance between peaceful escapism and proper facilities. The site welcomes campfires and dogs year-round, and there's a dedicated dog park for four-legged campers to let off steam. Families appreciate the play area and baby-changing facilities, while the communal fridge-freezer and ice-pack service are handy touches you don't find everywhere. With 27 non-electric grass pitches (including solo options for backpackers), the vibe stays refreshingly low-key.

You're well placed here for exploring Cornwall's best bits—coast, moors and market towns are all within easy reach, and there's public transport nearby if you want to leave the car behind. The site can feel fairly basic if you're after electric hook-ups or glamping bells and whistles, but for those who value simplicity, spectacular scenery and the crackle of an evening campfire, it's hard to fault.

Excellent campsite in a great location . Facilities all clean and tidy, plenty of room to park up anywhere in a large well cut field. Friendly owner and helpful along with information in a small hut. Chickens and goats also entertain.

A fantastic dog friendly campsite at such a great price! This was a last minute booking for us, but we stumbled upon a gem of a campsite. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy, with no additional fee to use. The campsite location is great, with beautiful sunset views. The campsite also has a large enclosed dog field that is great for letting the pooches burn some energy. There is also a few food vans that stop by each week on select nights if you don't fancy cooking. The owners were super accommodating and have created such a relaxed and wonderful campsite.

Had a very bad time here due to it being next door to the uks largest navy helicopter training base. They flew over my head on 4 of the nights I stayed sometimes in pairs till 3am the noise was horrendous and my dog was terrified. It is describes as quiet . I can not understand the good reviews about peaceful MD quiet that is simply not true it was every Monday and Tuesday night , I left two days early and lost money that I had paid upfront because they don't do refunds even though it should state please note helicopter will be flying above your head making noise till 3 am on Monday and Tuesday . On the last night I ended up sitting in the toilet block all night with my dog because it was so loud .I packed up and left. This noise should be disclosed. And yes it is very very very loud !! I also had a problem with one of the owners regulars / friends who kept walking past the front door of my tent with her2 yappy Chihuahuas pulling on leads trying to gwt I to the porch area of my tent , whilst my dog was laying on the porch area. It was just such bad manners the whole area behind me was empty but she chose to repeatedly walk past my tent door to antagonize my dog and try to converse with me I was not interested and was getting very annoyed I told the campsite owner who said oh well tajts not where people usually camp and she always goes ataht way she has an excuse for everything well it shows on your website this is where I was supposed to go , she then was laughing with the women with the Chihuahuas and I then proceeded to get intimidation tactics , owner lady also speaks badly about any person who complaines. Saying how the last man had wrote a review about road noise but why did he pitch where he did , it's always the laying customers fault not the owners .I should also add that all the females that were at the site left on Saturday but there was purple thong pants sat on the toilet cistern till I left on Wednesday somebody's used pants sat on top of toilet for 5 days and when I tried to put sanitary towel in toilet bin other people's fell out as bin had not been emptied again, it was full I was the only person there. I would not stay again if it was free due to lack of sleep and owners attitude and I caution anybody to see past the reviews by the owners repeated customers / friends and do not book more than a night or you will lose money and do not go on Monday or Tuesday as that's the helicopter training night
