Church Cove's sandy beach lies just 3 miles away, and the coastline here rewards exploration on foot—cliff paths run to Mullion and further west toward Porthleven and Loe Bar, where Cornwall's largest freshwater lake hosts winter wildfowl and a 5-mile walking circuit. National Trust farmland and woodland trails crisscross the surrounding area. Helston, a working town with galleries, cafes and restaurants, is equally close, as are the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek and Flambards theme park. Further afield are Kynance Cove, Lizard Point Lighthouse, Godolphin House, St Michael's Mount and Trengwainton Gardens.

Eglos Derry Farm Cottage is a converted barn sitting on a working farm courtyard, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping 4. Ground floor throughout: an open-plan living space with a woodburner sits alongside a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine—and a dining area. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles; each has a TV. The main bathroom offers a bath with shower; the second bedroom has an ensuite shower room. An enclosed garden with furniture provides outdoor space. Heated indoor swimming pool access is shared only between the two properties on site, making it more intimate than larger communal facilities. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. No smoking throughout.
