About Lower Lords Holiday Park
Tucked into the edge of Bodmin Moor and just a quarter-mile from Colliford Lake's shore, this family-run site sits in the grounds of a restaurant and hotel, offering a peaceful base for outdoorsy forays. Electric and non-electric grass pitches spread across a medium-sized site with all the essentials – toilet block, showers, washing-up area – plus a play area for little ones and space for barbecues. Dogs are welcome year-round, and there's a dog walk nearby.
The location is ideal for cyclists (the Camel Trail to Padstow is a short drive away) and anglers, with rainbow and brown trout fishing licences available at reception. Families can explore the legendary Dozmary Pool, rumoured resting place of Excalibur, or take to the lake for canoeing and watersports. The on-site restaurant serves good food, and you're welcome to bring your own drinks. Some guests note facilities can feel a little tired in places, but the setting and access to walks, cycling routes and lakeside scenery more than compensate.

Very well presented. Well Layed out. A lot of hard work has gone into this campsite Extremely clean, nice dog exercise area, and children's play park area. Toilet and shower block were supurb and spotless. We will definitely be coming back.

This is a beautiful campsite with very pretty landscaping. We stayed for one night in February on our way to St. Ives, and I can imagine in spring and summer it looks even better. We got the bus from immediately outside into Padstow and walked back along the camel trail, calling in at the Quarryman Inn for refreshments. Check in was easy, toilet facilities clean, and great play area for children. We will definitely return for longer and it’s now a favourite campsite in a great part of Cornwall 😊

Stayed here for 3 nights in our camper van while travelling round Cornwall for 4 weeks. Great location right off the main road so easy to find. Excellent communication from owners of how to check in and find our pitch. Admittedly we were “out of season” but the site was very quiet. Maybe only 5/5 vans on it. Very tidy site, well maintained and camping pitches regrassed recently. All the amenities you’d need. Showers look brand new. Shower/ toilet block was spotless and warm. £6 for our dog - there was a safely fenced off area for dogs to run, complete with poo bags and a bin. I never mind paying extra for a dog as long as they are providing something for it, which this site does. Peaceful and didn’t really notice the main road traffic at night. Bring a torch as if you need a wee in the night it’s not very well lit until you get to the toilet block. Other than that - perfect. Thanks so much

Stayed for 2 nights end of Feb 2026. Perfect winter stopover or base for camper vans. Immaculate site with every facility you need. Great location for west Cornwall exploring. Seemless check in and contact with host. Highly recommended. Additionally, for an amazing breakfast visit Strong Aldo’s cafe 2 mins up the road. Wadebridge big Tesco only 5 mins away. 👍
