Family camping and glamping with an adventure park on site, ten minutes from Padstow
About Camel Creek Camping & Glamping
Set beside a family adventure park near Wadebridge, this site delivers an unusual camping-glamping hybrid that works particularly well if you've got energetic younger children. Touring pitches (grass and hardstanding, most with optional electric) share the grounds with bell tents, yurts, safari tents and larger safari lodges sleeping up to eight, all benefiting from free access to the adjoining adventure park with its rides, animal encounters and indoor play areas. The facilities are straightforward—clean shower blocks, a small site shop, children's play area—and guests consistently praise the friendly welcome and well-kept grounds.
The real draw is convenience: you're ten minutes from Padstow, close to Wadebridge, and within easy reach of north Cornwall's beaches, yet the kids have on-site entertainment when beach trips lose their appeal. School holidays book quickly for good reason. Dogs are welcome on touring pitches and some glamping options, though policies vary, so check before booking if travelling with pets.

Our first glamping experience. Entry into Camel Creek, including the play barn after the main park had closed. Facilities are great, everything we could want and in great condition and very clean. Well maintained etc. Loved it.

We stayed in the XL Safari Lodge at Camel Creek and it was absolutely amazing! The lodge was spacious, beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay – proper beds, plenty of room, and all the little touches that made it feel extra special. It was the perfect mix of adventure and luxury, with a lovely relaxing atmosphere but still right on the doorstep of all the fun at Camel Creek. The site was quiet, clean and very well kept, and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was such a memorable experience and we can’t wait to come back – highly recommended for families looking for something a bit different and extra special in Cornwall!

I booked a 2 night stay at Camel Creek for myself, sister and 4 year old. Upon arrival the staff were extremely friendly and check in was straightforward. The glamping site itself was pristine, the grounds were well kept and the layout was well planned to allow easy access to all amenities and allow privacy. We stayed in a well tent and it was beautiful the tent eas clean the beds were comfortable and clean with bedding and towels provided, we also had electricity access in the tent with the addition of bedsidelapms. Each tent had its own toilet with motion activated light and a sink which was extremely convenient. The communal areas were spotless and provided everything you needed, as well as labelled shelves in the fridge for each tent. The park itself was clean and had so much for us to do my.little one was able to go on all the rides with no issues (110 cm tall) the staff were friendly and helpful and we couldn't ask for more from them. The food in tje park was whay you expect in terms of variety however reasonably priced and so was the gift shop. The softplay area was huge and open to us after the park was closed as we're were staying on site and they continued to serve food and drinks including alcohol until 8pm. Overall I would highly recommend a visit and we will be returning.

We have just got back from 3 nights glamping in one of the bell tents. I rarely leave reviews unless somewhere is really worth of it and this place is. You literally don’t need to take any camping gear with you. The kitchen has everything you could ever need (including cookers, microwaves, ovens, fridges), and the beds in the camp- wow, so comfortable and cosy. Plus you get your own toilet. Glamping made so easy! We are very fussy with where we stay and I can’t rave about this glamping site enough. Also we found the location perfect- to access the areas of Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock but then Padstow and all the beaches south from there down to Newquay. As well as those on the south coast in St Austell and Fowey etc. Btw, on Wednesday evenings they have fireworks.
