About Red Skies
Tucked into its own acre of Cornish countryside with distant sea views, Red Skies offers a single shepherd's hut retreat that feels wonderfully secluded yet sits just ten minutes from Praa Sands and the South West Coast Path. The cosy hut comes with its own deck for starlit suppers, plus a separate shower and loo block nearby. Guests can raid the owners' allotment for seasonal veg and collect fresh eggs from the chickens – perfect for rustling up breakfast in the hut's compact kitchen.
The location is a dream for walkers and wildlife watchers, with trails leading to lesser-known coves like Porthcew and Hendra Beach. Dogs are welcome year-round, and you're encouraged to light campfires under those famously dark Cornish skies. Porthleven's fishing harbour and restaurants lie fifteen minutes away for nights when you fancy letting someone else do the cooking.

Six of us had a wonderful time at Ocean Skies. The property is fantastic, the views were amazing and we spent a great week exploring this part of Cornwall - coastal walks, bike rides, fish from Newlyn, cream teas, sunsets and great laughs. Blue Bar and The Unicorn were excellent and Pie Night in the Beach Cafe on our first night was a highlight! Katie was very helpful with some local sights to see.

Just had a sensational trip to Porthtowan staying at Ocean Skies. The house is one of the most special houses I’ve ever stayed at; literally on the coast line with incredible views. The house is immaculately clean and the showers are so good! Every single detail has been thought of in the house and the hot tub is the cherry on top. Beach is about a 1 minute walk down and there’s a couple of great pubs/restaurants + some of the best fish and chips + a convenience store. All you’d want for a stay in Cornwall. Can’t recommend this house enough and will be rebooking with my family.

Stunning house - amazing views and a wonderful trip, couldn’t have asked for more. The team at Cornish Stays - particularly Charlotte and Kate were brilliant - quick to respond, check to make sure we were happy and having a good stay. First class customer service. Would definitely book with Cornish Stays again and will be back next year to Ocean Skies.

Had an incredible time at Ocean Skies - the house is so modern, clean and chique with amazing views. 5 min walk down to the village/beach and instant access to beautiful coastal walks. Couldn't recommend high enough!
