About Eco Park
Tucked into the fields near Porthtowan, Eco Park offers a refreshingly low-key take on Cornish camping - think wild grass pitches, crackling campfires and a genuinely laid-back vibe. There's a good mix of options, from non-electric plots for purists to hardstanding and electric grass pitches, plus a cluster of shepherd's huts and cosy pods (all dog-friendly) if you'd rather have a roof overhead. Facilities cover the basics - showers, toilets, drinking water - though there's no chemical disposal point, which might catch a few campervanners out.
Open year-round and within easy reach of Porthtowan's surf beach, it's a solid, unpretentious base for exploring the north Cornwall coast without the polish (or the price tag) of some of the county's smarter sites.

What visitors say
Don't go if there is a wedding on. They don't tell you ahead of time, only found out on instagram the day before. Was looking forward to checking out the restaurant, bar, lawn games area. All of it closed off due to a wedding. They should list booked for wedding on their events calendar and let you know. In the end we overpaid to stay in a field, with nothing on site beyond the basics. Pizza van was available from 6-9 we were told, but sold out by 6:05 (I'm guessing to the wedding as the site was very empty). There were 4 main showers, which were warm but dark with no light and nowhere to put your stuff (only behind a curtain). There was a handful of flushing toilets, so I can imagine when there's an event on it's not enough. So if there's a wedding on and you aren't invited, go somewhere cheaper with better facilities. The walk down to the beach was ok, but slippery narrow gravel track on a steep hill, overgrown with thorns. Taking the road back up barely any footpath, so I wouldn't recommend either route for very small children or the elderly.

Very pleasant stay - this is a true treasure. Quiet hide-out with lots of things to explore. Kind staff, great food, bar, open mic night, sauna, cold plunge. The only issue is that I didn't stay longer. Thanks so much for having me. 🙏

Booked a last minute stop over, place was deserted, no information on arrival just plugged in and stayed the night. Very quiet great views. Showers were interesting 🫢 will definitely come back in the summer though should imagine that's a better time to stay there February

Visited the Eco Park in Porthtowan for the Christmas market and had a fantastic time. There were lots of wonderful independent stalls selling a great range of items, from handmade pots and candles to clothing. The café was excellent too — I had the tomato and avocado on toast, which was delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout. A really lovely festive experience!
