Mount Pleasant Eco Park sits just a footpath stroll from Porthtowan's gorgeous long sandy stretch, with plenty of space in the dunes and a summer lifeguard service for swimmers and surfers. That same path takes you to a couple of pubs and takeaways, while St Agnes village and Redruth are both within 10 minutes by car.
The team here haven't relied on location alone. This dog-friendly site forms part of a 42-acre community space, with compost toilets, solar showers and thoughtfully laid-out pitches across generous grounds. Events—live music, traditional skills workshops—happen regularly, though there's always room to find a peaceful corner if you'd rather do your own thing. The on-site café (Wednesday to Sunday) serves tasty plant-based meals using local produce, and campfires and barbecues are welcome if you fancy cooking outdoors.
