About Stay Wild

Fifteen minutes from Helston, Stay Wild offers something genuinely different: three-acre private pitches with space for up to five units, each with its own bathroom, electric hook-up, firepit, and washing-up area complete with fridge-freezer and kettle. It's proper camping comfort on a grand scale, perfect for groups or families who want seclusion without sacrificing the frills.

Set in hilly, wooded Cornish countryside, the site is a haven for wildlife – stay quiet and you'll spot all manner of creatures among the abundant flora. Come nightfall, the real spectacle begins: on clear nights, the sky puts on a show of stars, planets and the Milky Way, occasionally joined by the International Space Station or a shooting star. The owners will even lend you infrared cameras and night-vision binoculars to enhance the experience. Leave the screens behind and lose yourself in nature – there's genuinely nowhere quite like it.

What visitors say

We’ve been back nearly two weeks now - sadly! I can honestly say this is one of, if not the best campsites we’ve stayed at! The location is perfect. The hosts are amazing. So attentive (if you need them). Very helpful with lots of local knowledge on where and what to do. Not that we did anything as the field (Bramble Brook) we were in was amazing. Just to have it to the 6 of us was great. We made one shower room for girls and the other for boys. These were fantastic and what a luxury to have our own ‘en suite!’ The shower had great power and an abundance of hot water. Tim and Clare have thought of everything! Even down to plenty of hooks, heated towel rail and a rail outside of the shower rooms to hang wetsuits or towels in hot weather! The fire pit is perfect for cooking over and our petromax dish came into good use over it! Wash up area was such a bonus too. Our own fridge freezer, kettle and again an abundance of hot water!! So spoilt here that’s for sure!! We will definitely be back. Thank you so so much!!

Loved the space, the peace and the wildlife. The faculties were excellent and we felt very catered for. Great communication with the owners. Thank you for having us! Only point- and no fault of the owners obviously, but the bottom pitch, Bramble Brook, being near the woods has midges. The hot & damp weather didn’t help - but come prepared. We were eaten alive!

This was my 2nd trip to the beautiful Stay wild campsite in Cornwall. The first time we took our camper van and had an amazing pitch that had everything you could need, a separate heated toilet, bath and shower room it was very swish! I was very impressed with the fully equipped kitchen. The location is perfect for hopping around the whole of Cornwall, we spent our days driving to and exploring as many of the lovely beaches and little towns and villages we could pack in during a beautiful sunny June... This time we stayed in wet, windy November, but this didn't matter as we had the glamping Geodome booked, no matter how harsh the elements are, inside Staywild's dome you are protected, warm cosy and comfortable, they have thought of everything, they even provided some cool clogs to get to and from the exterior kitchen and awesome bathroom with a roll top bath! Wow is all i can say. It has all the creature comforts you could ask for and the log burner kept the place toasty all night! During one of the days I helped feed the alpacas and took the goats for a walk around the farm, what a lovely experience that was indeed!! Tim and Clare are the best hosts this really is such a gorgeous place and any time of the year.
