About The Trengilly Wartha Inn
Tucked down a country lane at Nancenoy, The Trengilly Wartha Inn is an old-fashioned Cornish inn built around a proper pub, with the kind of low ceilings and settled character that comes from being a genuine local rather than a themed re-creation. It sits within its own grounds, giving it space for gardens and a picnic area that guests can wander between meals.
Rooms are comfortable and well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and even safari tents for something different, plus practical extras like free WiFi, air conditioning and drinks in the room. The restaurant and bar are the heart of the place, serving locally sourced food including fresh seafood and a well-regarded game pie, with breakfast and kids' meals also available. Prices for both food and rooms are reasonable, and the atmosphere is informal and family-friendly, helped along by attentive staff.
Dogs are welcome throughout, and the surrounding area offers walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports, along with further pubs and restaurants nearby. Free on-site parking makes it an easy base for exploring Falmouth and the coast beyond.

What guests say
Called in for a drink during the day and asked to see the menu which had some really interesting dishes so returned in the evening for a meal. Absolutely delicious. For starters husband and son had pigeon breast pan fried with a mushroom sauce and I had Beetroot, roasted walnut salad with fig and feta cheese. Then we each had Fillet of Guilt Head bream (caught from the Helford river) in a fabulous dressing with very nice steamed veg before deserts. Everything was beautifully cooked. The lady behind the bar was lovely and attentive. Great place to visit - dog friendly; wish we lived nearer (from County Durham).

Had the most wonderful stay at the Trengilly Wartha Inn last weekend. We stayed in one of the self contained apartments which was just perfect for us. Clean and comfortable, lots of hot water and good shower, a kitchen for making meals, etc. although we ended up eating in the pub most of the time as the food was so good. The drive there was very pretty and great spots for walks nearby. An absolute highlight and completely unexpected, was the beautiful gardens at the pub. I loved taking our dog for peaceful morning walk through the bluebell woods, past the stream and the gunaras and sitting over looking the valley or the lake. The owners Will and Lisa were super friendly too and told us about the events they put on over the summer, so now planning our next trip!

Absolutely beautiful location. Everyone we met who worked at the inn/site were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a safari tent and it was well thought out, plenty of utensils etc. The hot water bottles were a great addition, it was very cold in the tent tent, - even with the stove. Although, I imagine it would be glorious in the warmer weather! We all liked that each tent has it's own wet room, my only comment would be a bathmat would be great. The wet rooms get quite muddy and it would be nice to have something clean to stand on after you have showered and want to dry yourself. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

This is one of the most memorable experiences I have had staying somewhere. Will and Lisa are both so caring and selfless, this place feels like staying at your uncle and aunt’s house. When I had a different booking go awry, they got me in after they had already closed, and figured it out for me to stay and extra night. Lisa even drove me to a wedding a was going to nearby the next day! The rooms I stayed in were the perfect place to calm down from all of the chaos, and sitting in the fields in the sun was also so beautiful. The prices are very reasonable for the sizes, and the hospitality provided. If I’m ever back in this area, they’ll be the first on my list to book with again!
