Bude and the North Cornwall coast attract walkers and beach-goers throughout the year, with Crackington Haven a couple of miles away and the wider coastline dotted with smaller coves. Appleloft sits in the hamlet of Pencuke, far enough back to feel rural and peaceful yet close to the action. This stone cottage was originally an apple store; its upper bedroom still has the quirky wooden flooring from those days, now a distinctive feature alongside modern comforts added during a 2023 renovation.

The ground floor holds a sitting room with a wood burner, a freshly refitted kitchen with electric oven and dishwasher, and a twin bedroom with two single beds. Upstairs, a galleried super king bedroom opens onto views across the front garden and includes its own en-suite. The main bathroom sits between ground and upper floors. The property comes with parking on the drive, gardens to both front and rear with seating areas, and bike storage. One medium dog stays free; a larger dog may be possible on request. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, as is an initial supply of logs for the burner. Families with young children can request a travel cot, highchair and stairgate.

From here, Boscastle's fishing harbour is under 6 miles away, and Bude town centre roughly 10 miles. Crackington Haven beach itself is walkable. A community shop within easy walking distance serves coffee and pasties if you fancy a break without driving.
