Bluebell House
Cornwall
Bluebell House is a converted cottage whose original character—exposed beams, a galleried landing, vaulted sitting room—sits comfortably alongside modern essentials. The property occupies a quiet spot in Portloe, a working fishing village on the Roseland Peninsula, within easy reach of the harbour and beach. Three bedrooms across two floors accommodate six guests: a master with en-suite and two doubles upstairs, plus a family bathroom. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen and dining area flow into a sitting room where a log burner opens onto a timber terrace with views across the village toward the sea. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and a utility room houses a washer, dryer and second fridge alongside external storage for beach equipment. One car can park in the undercroft; there's a courtyard with seating outside. The village itself has a small beach and harbour used for swimming and paddleboarding, and the Lugger Inn serves food locally. Coastal paths fan out toward Nare Head and beyond. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside, please.
