Cornerstone Cottage

Cornwall

Mousehole's working harbour and sandy beach sit on your doorstep at Cornerstone Cottage. The village itself is tightly clustered around the water—narrow streets lined with independent shops, restaurants and pubs lead down to the quay where fishing boats still operate. From December onwards, the harbour lights draw visitors from across the country. Coastal paths branch out in both directions, and boat tours run from the harbour itself.

The pink-painted cottage has three bedrooms—a super king and two twins—across two bathrooms, sleeping six comfortably. Downstairs, the living room and dining room both face the harbour; the living room has a woodburning stove and exposed beams. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with a separate utility room handling the washing and drying. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. No smoking inside.

The beach is roughly 20 metres from the front door, making it straightforward for younger children or anyone wanting a quick paddle. Longer walks along the coastal path take in dramatic cliff scenery. The village works year-round, though it's noticeably quieter outside the summer season and the Christmas light display period.
