East Rose - Mowhay

East Rose is a detached barn conversion at Mowhay, sleeping four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor: one has a double bed with its own wet room, the other offers zip-and-link single beds that can be configured as a king. The main living space is also downstairs—open plan, with a kitchen equipped for full self-catering, a dining area and sitting room with Freeview television and DVD player. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with gas central heating.

The property sits within larger grounds that shared with a small number of other cottages. You get a lawned garden with seating and furniture, and access to a 4-acre site with picnic areas and a barbecue. The lake on the grounds—about 110 yards away and fenced—permits pleasure fishing for beginners and families, though you'll need to bring or buy your own tackle and bait. A car park is available on-site. One dog is welcome provided it stays on a lead.

Mowhay lies on the western edge of Bodmin Moor in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beaches and seaside villages are accessible from here. Note that smoking is not permitted.
