High Lanes

High Lanes is a detached stone cottage that opens into dual living spaces—a main living room and a second one beyond, each with its own woodburner, plus a conservatory that extends the feel of the place. The ground floor flows between these areas and a proper dining room, with a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one double and one with twin singles, served by a bathroom with bath and shower. The property sleeps four and accepts one pet at no extra charge.

Outside is the real draw. A large enclosed garden wraps around the back with patio seating and furniture, leading up a few steps to a raised gravelled area edged with flowerbeds. There is also a covered sitting area for days when you want shelter but not walls. On-site parking for two cars and a bike store take care of the practicalities. Inside, essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in an external utility room, plus a freezer for extra storage.

The location sits between Hayle's broad beach and the network of sandy coves that line this part of north Cornwall. Portreath, a family-friendly seaside town, is a short drive along the coast. Inland, Tehidy Country Park has cycle trails, pathways and a café. The area draws surfers, walkers and birdwatchers; the RSPB Hayle Estuary and Marazion Marsh are both within reach. St Ives with its working harbour is a quick drive away, and the scenic coastal train from St Erth connects many of the region's best beaches. No smoking inside the property.
