Lower Trevorder Barn began life as a corn mill and hay loft in the 1790s. The conversion has kept the original character—exposed beams and stone walls remain—while introducing modern comfort through underfloor heating, solar panels and ground source heat pumps. The result is a spacious family home with four bedrooms across two floors, three bathrooms, and a layout that feels both contemporary and grounded in its agricultural past.
The ground floor holds three bedrooms (a ¾ double with ensuite bath, a super kingsize with ensuite shower, and two rooms with paired single beds) plus a shower room. Upstairs, the living space is open-plan: a sitting room with woodburner and patio doors onto a balcony, flowing into a kitchen and dining area equipped for proper cooking—electric range, two fridges, dishwasher and coffee machine among the essentials. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a separate toilet, complete the layout. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available for younger children.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden with decking, gas barbecue and seating. The property has its own parking for four cars and a bike store. An external games room with pool table and table football is shared with other properties on the site, as are the wider grounds. The barn is no-smoking throughout. Note that the property is supplied by a natural water source.

Nice place with great separate playroom. Access roads are narrow which makes driving around a little stressful.

It was beautiful and has been decorated to a high standard. One or two of us heard a couple of sounds we weren't familiar with in the night, but aside from that, our stay was excellent.

We stayed here July 2021, two families 7 in total. A great quiet location good for getting to see Cornwall.A really well converted modern and comfortable barn conversion. There are two let’s here ours had four good sized bedrooms. Really well maintained and well fitted out holiday house with everything you need for a week or two away. We have an EV and a nice bonus was the use of an EV charge point which made getting around a doddle as everywhere is within easy battery distance. We had a Sainsbury’s delivery from Bodmin the first night. Weather was glorious so we used the huge gas bbq a lot.
