Pendragon Cottage

Photo: Pendragon Country Cottages

Tintagel's ruined castle and coastal footpaths are minutes away from Pendragon Cottage, a whitewashed end-terrace property in the hamlet of Tregatta. The sandy beaches at Trebarwith Strand are a short drive, and the Camel Trail for cycling or walking runs through the wider area. Boscastle and Port Isaac's harbours, plus Padstow and Bodmin, are all within reasonable distance. Camelford has shops and restaurants roughly 4 miles off.

The cottage holds three bedrooms—a kingsize, two singles, and another single—with one bathroom containing a shower over the bath. Downstairs, a living room with an open fire opens to the kitchen/dining space, which has an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave for everyday cooking. Wi-Fi, bed linen and heating are included. An enclosed garden with patio and barbecue faces open fields; there is parking for one car on site. The property is non-smoking throughout.

This arrangement suits families or couples wanting quiet time by the sea, whether for summer beach days or quieter-season breaks when the fire becomes the focal point of evenings indoors.

Charming, well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Easy to use as a base for day trips around Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Four of us were guests in this very nice and typical British B&B and enjoyed our stay very much. Sharon and Nigel are great hosts, very accommodating and always helpful. They provided us with lots of information and first class recommendations for excursions in the surrounding area. My personal highlight was the daily breakfast, which is offered in various variations. Overall, absolutely recommendable and a very good example of why you should book a B&B instead of a hotel.

Lovely stay at Pendragon Country House. Our room was very comfortable with lots of lovely touches, like Sharons homemade treats and welcome sherry in our room. Nigel and Sharon are excellent hosts and made you feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, again homemade granola was lovely. Excellent stay.

We stayed at Hengroen which was really suitable for 2 adults and 2 young children. Nigel and Sharon were so friendly and nice. The EV chargers on site were really useful and fairly priced. Breakfast was delicious also the kids who got a more plain breakfast really loved it. Kids diner at 18.00 and our diner with the 2 of us at 19.30 such a good time and super cooking skills. See you again in future and thank you for the lovely stay!
