About Bossiney Cove Campsite

Right next to Bossiney Cove on Cornwall's dramatic north coast, this straightforward campsite doubles as the car park for one of the area's loveliest little beaches. At low tide, scramble down to the cove for a swim, or step straight onto the South West Coast Path for cliff-top walks in either direction. Tintagel's castle ruins, pubs and shops are an easy fifteen-minute stroll along a level path, making this an ideal base for exploring the area without needing the car.

The site itself keeps things simple – non-electric grass pitches spread across a decent-sized field with portable loos (no showers) and seasonal visits from a coffee and ice cream van when the weather's kind. It can feel a touch basic for some tastes, but the trade-off is those fabulous sea views and immediate access to coast path hiking. Barbecues are welcome, dogs run free, and there's space to genuinely unwind between adventures to surf beaches and Bodmin Moor.

What visitors say

Alistair Sturt

Well kept site and very nice lodges which were well equipped. A long way to any decent supermarkets etc and some small roads to get there. Was a 10min walk from Tintagel and amazing cliff views. Paths are stunning but on the edge of the cliffs so not great for children.

A small park of holiday lodges. Well equipped, clean and quiet (apart from birdsong) An easy walk into Tintagel. Reception very friendly.

We had a really lovely stay here. The lodge was sparkling clean, well equipped and very nicely furnished. The hot tub was serviced daily and much welcome after a day's exploring. The decking was secure so our dog could sit outside safely. A peaceful site with immaculate grounds and staff were very friendly and helpful. The position of the site was amazing. The stunning coastal path was accessible from a footpath opposite the site entrance and walking into Tintagel only took 20 minutes along a safe flat road. We also walked to St Nectan's waterfall from a footpath that passes through the grounds, well worth a visit. Thank you for a great weekend, we will return 😊

Self contained, private lodges are excellent, and well presented. Some have hot tubs as well. Quiet peaceful location approx 10-15 min walk to the centre of Tintagel, with all the pubs, restaurants, shops and sights. Direct access from site to costal path and walks to St Nectars Glen waterfall. Highly recommended if you want somewhere peaceful to retreat to after a long day exploring or walking.
